Salary: £125,000 + Bonus and share options Shape the Future of Clean Energy Technology We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Cranleigh, Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of electrical design across innovative clean‑energy technology projects, acting as the technical authority for electrical engineering while helping to shape the future direction of the business. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for electrical engineering activities across product development and customer projects. Develop, review, and approve electrical schematics and designs for industrial systems and control panels. Define and maintain system‑level electrical architectures and associated design documentation. Support system build, integration, commissioning, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Lead electrical engineering contributions to safety and compliance activities, including HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, and SIL assessments. Specify electrical equipment and components, including motors, transformers, protection devices, instrumentation, and cabling. Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders as the primary electrical design representative. Mentor and support a team of 4–5 engineers, helping to develop technical capability and engineering best practice. Drive continuous improvement in electrical engineering standards, processes, and tools. About You Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Significant hands‑on experience in industrial electrical design. Strong background in control panels, industrial power systems, machinery electrical systems, and instrumentation. Proficient in electrical CAD software and confident producing and reviewing detailed electrical designs. Good working knowledge of BS 7671 and EN 60204. Experience supporting functional safety activities, with knowledge of EN 61511 considered advantageous. Familiarity with PLC‑based control systems, ideally Siemens. Experience working within ATEX or hazardous area environments would be highly desirable. Comfortable supporting build, testing, commissioning, and fault‑finding activities on hardware systems. A natural leader who enjoys mentoring others and is keen to develop formal management responsibilities. Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and internationally. #J-18808-Ljbffr
