We are actively seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global automotive company based in Peterlee to specialise in fluid power and structural integration.
Design Engineers will be responsible for:
- Designing, simulating, and routing the hydraulic systems of industrial vehicles ensuring they can handle extreme pressures without breaking.
- Designing and integrating hydraulic pipework, flexible hoses, and rigid tubing within steel machines, ensuring correct routing, clearance, bend radius, and durability under high-vibration conditions.
- Supporting NPI and continuous improvement and engineering change to resolve any design and manufacturing issues.
Requirements:
- 9+ years' experience in a similar role delivering engineering projects from concept through to production.
- Experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and simulation tools.
