Data Migration Engineer Working onsite in Slough Fixed Term Contract for 18 months Salary is Β£38K per annum Working on the migration of existing Engineering Product Data, to a new PLM tool.
Engineering Product Data contains 3D CAD data, drawings, PDF, Word and Excel documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Takes ownership and delivers the Data Migration work package.
Responsible for Data Migration of Legacy and In-Production Product Data to PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Key activities involve Data Assessment and Planning, Data Extraction and Data Sorting, Data Cleaning and Data Validation, and preparing the data to Migrate to PLM.
Work along with PLM team from other sites for transfer activity.
Data Preparation β adhering to company guidelines.
Harmonize and improve methods for Data Modelling.
Document these improvements through procedures and instructions.
Responsible for organizing tool associated training.
Requirements Background in Data Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or General Engineering.
Awareness with PLM Systems: Knowledge with PLM platforms. e. g.
Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill or similar PLM tool.
Knowledge of CAD database: Awareness of CAD and drawing data contents.
Data Management / Database
Management: Key activities involve Data Assessment and Planning, Data Extraction and Data Sorting, Data Cleaning and Data Validation, and preparing the data to migrate to PLM.
Programming: Familiarity with scripting for automation and tool integration.
