Information Technology Manager in Cheltenham

We are looking for an IT Manager to join the new team of a Defence company with offices in London and Cheltenham. This is a senior IT lead role, responsible for the strategy, delivery and management of the company's business-critical applications and the EMEA IT team that supports them.

Responsibilities:

• Define and deliver a strategic roadmap for enterprise applications, aligned with business priorities and long-term technology objectives.
• Manage the full application lifecycle, including system selection, implementation, upgrades, optimisation and retirement.
• Ensure the reliability, availability and performance of critical business systems, while driving best-practice support and incident management.
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing team of application specialists, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with business units, IT teams and external vendors to deliver effective, value-driven technology solutions.
• Ensure appropriate governance, security and compliance standards are embedded across all enterprise applications.

Requirements:

• Experience in senior applications management or senior IT roles.
• Strong knowledge across enterprise ecosystems, ERP, PLM, BI, SaaS platforms, integration technologies, Atlassian tools, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, or ServiceNow.
• Security Clearance: Due to the nature of the work, you must be a UK national for this clearance type.
