Hybrid: 3 days in the office in Clevedon, and 2 days working from home
Apply Systems Engineering for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Operationally, the role will span from concept to customer commissioning and field trials, through the application of best-practice systems engineering working to ensure on time delivery, within budget and to specification.
Work at the core of the engineering and product development teams using Systems Engineering tools and methods to bring clarity from ambiguity. Translate product vision into clear and concise Requirements using Systems Engineering process such as Use Cases, Context Diagrams, Architectures and more. Use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods to develop Functional, Logical, and Behavioural architectures to understand the operations and flow of the System.
Work collaboratively with and effectively influence all engineering teams to clarify work packages, manage trade-off studies, and resolve engineering issues. Lead and coach a growing core team of Systems Engineers of all levels of expertise to continue their development towards being a Lead SE themselves. Contribute to the Systems Engineering process development and ethos and its integration into the wider company, educating other employees in Systems Engineering to resolve technical challenges.
Requirements
- More than 5 years experience of practical application of best-practice Systems Engineering in a relatable engineering industry
- Experience and understanding of working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry such as the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry including product safety and compliance to applicable standards
- Systems Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Must have excellent influencing and negotiation skills at multiple organisational levels
- Able to take ownership and control of a situation and bring people with them even though they may not be direct reports
- High level of integrity and accountability with a results-driven mindset, able to set the standard, and hold people accountable to deliver
- Chartered Engineer or working towards (desirable)
- Associated Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) qualified (desirable)
