This role would suit a programme manager, project development specialist or specialist in developing markets within the long term project lifecycle & aftermarket services. It requires some form of Mechanical Engineering expertise.
Location: Peterborough, Fully Office Based, 5 days per week.
Rate: £42 - £44 per hour (FCSA Umbrella, deemed inside IR35) or £30 - £32 PAYE.

We are currently recruiting for our Peterborough based client. Candidates should have experience and knowledge of the following:
- Previous knowledge of planning, managing and delivering development of opportunities post manufacturing & service, through life/legacy project development or technology projects involving repair & service of discrete and complex products and sub-components.
- Previous experience within either automotive, aerospace or defence manufacturing (essential).
- Able to demonstrate an ability to conduct market & customer research, identify new opportunities & deliver products, training & services.
- Review existing aftermarket processes/procedures & identify modern solutions that make support to our customers much more efficient.
- Prepare & issue internal business cases that highlight the benefits of proceeding with the new products/services.
- Deliver project or bid to agreed time, cost and quality parameters.
- A sound commercial and financial understanding is required.
- Good customer skills and an ability to work and communicate with people at all levels in the organisation.
- Ability to work in/with a multi-disciplined team.
- Ability to lead by influence and communicate at all levels of the organisation.
- Extensive knowledge of NPI, Product deletion, brand, design change, aftermarket systems, processes, service, repair, and overhaul solutions.
- Self-starter with excellent time management, organisation, prioritisation, and change management skills.
- Some knowledge of parts marketing and sales functionality would be advantageous.
- Excellent project management skills, able to work across functions such as Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Supply chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.
- Must be able to complete analysis and provide direction using complex data sets.
- Must have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings utilising Teamcenter or equivalent engineering systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacture, Supplier development, Understanding of DFMEA, PFMEA.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Self-motivated individual who can take the initiative to complete tasks.
- Past success in technical troubleshooting.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Good problem-solving abilities using systemic, logical, and sequential approaches.
- Knowledge of and experience with ISO requirements.
