Salary: £35K
Duties:
- Inspect, measure, and test all incoming goods, materials and components to verify conformity to specifications and industry standards.
- Highlight and document any non-conformities or issues identified during inspection.
- Support Root Cause Analysis for both supplier and internal rejects, and help determine corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor and record the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
- Ensure a smooth workflow of inspected goods through to the next stage of production or storage.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve non-conformance issues relating to delivered goods.
- Produce timely, clear, accurate, and comprehensive inspection reports as required (for customers, suppliers, regulatory bodies, etc.).
- Generate and communicate statistical data and inspection summaries as needed.
- Maintain and complete all inspection documentation to required standards, including accurate records for traceability and audit purposes.
- Ensure safe handling and proper care of QA tools and inspection equipment, maintaining them in good condition.
Requirements:
- Previous Quality Inspection experience is essential.
- Experience of using various digital and analogue measurement equipment to determine conformance to specification, such as gauges, verniers, micrometers, or other inspection equipment.
- Technical background essential with knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation including preparation of First Article Inspection reports.
- Experience of reading engineering specifications, e.g. Engineering drawings, tolerances, surface finishes etc.
- Familiar with Continuous Improvement methodologies, tools and concepts.
- Familiar with Quality concepts and practices.
- IT experience including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
