Mechanical Design Engineer Junior Design Role Mechanical Design Engineer with ideally 1 -5 years exp of 3D design work required for a 12 months contract based in Stafford. Fully onsite 5days per week in Stafford Duties include: CAD Modelling & Design of components and assemblies. Completion of component and group drawings. Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams. Involving other engineers and technical resources to address detailed technical problems. Working with a global team that requires virtual collaboration. Working with design resources and suppliers to rapidly implement design changes. Candidate Requirements: Working knowledge of solid modelling (ideally CREO and Teamcenter – Although most 3D Packages will be considered & time given to come up to speed) Complex Machinery, Whole System Automotive or Heavy Goods Vehicle / Similar exp Understanding of design for manufacturing / design for assembly philosophies Engineering degree or HND with experience. Capable of working as part of a team collaborating with colleagues in different geographies. Must be on site a couple of days a week, but work from home is available. This role is inside IR35, and the umbrella pay rate is between £19.50 – £1975, paye c. £14.50ph Depending upon experience and qualifications
