Overview
Role: Manufacturing Control Engineer
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Hours: 14:30pm - 02:30am Monday - Thursday (4 Day week)
Rate: £32.50 FCSA umbrella (Inside IR35) OR £24.00 PAYE +20% Shift Premium
Duration: 18 months (likely to extend)
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for automation and robotics, and bring to implementation.
- Affectively use Siemens PLC/HMI software to aid maintenance teams to diagnose production issues.
- Affectively use Siemens/ Mitsubishi PLC software to uplift and standardise legacy system assets.
- Proactively identify business opportunities, assess overall impact, and justify to senior stakeholders for capital investment.
- Project management - Full scope, development, budgets, resources, and management of NPI or Improvement projects (Technology/Efficiency/Quality) from initiation to production and program completion.
- Facilitate the development of manufacturing process solutions work with functional teams, using a range of tools e.g. process flows, PFMEA's, control plans.
- Promote lean and quality as a focus within the business.
- Monitor and report on project health, including issue management to ensure People, Quality, Velocity and Cost targets are achieved.
- Developing equipment specifications and installation requirements and ensuring that the equipment is safe and meets the needs of manufacturing.
- Working with facility teams to establish the correct suppliers and managing timelines to ensure successful delivery and implementation.
