A Lead Technology Consultant role with a leading management consultancy, for someone who started in engineering or solution architecture and now wins and shapes advisory work. This is a sales-led consulting role: you carry a new business development target, open doors and close engagements, then stay close to delivery. Our client is a well-established, highly regarded management consultancy with a strong technology and digital advisory practice across the UK.
What You'll Be Doing as a Lead Technology Consultant:
- Winning new business: building pipeline, opening opportunities and closing advisory engagements against a personal new business development target
- Shaping solutions: drawing on your engineering and solution architecture background to design credible, sellable approaches to client problems
- Staying close to delivery, balancing the commercial remit with hands-on involvement in large, complex engagements
- Contributing to practice growth, helping build propositions, capability and the wider consulting team
What We're Looking For From The Lead Technology Consultant:
- A technical foundation earlier in your career: software engineering, application development or solution architecture
- Consulting experience selling technology advisory or transformation services, not pure delivery
- Commercial credibility: you can lead a sales conversation, shape a deal and win the work
- Experience running large, complex deliveries alongside the commercial remit
- Relevant certifications a plus, for example TOGAF, AWS, Azure or other cloud and architecture credentials
Competitive package: base to £155,000 by location, plus car allowance, performance-related bonus, strong pension and private healthcare. Scale and momentum: multiple hires planned, with a clear route to grow inside a recognised consulting brand.
