Angstrom Sports is a proprietary sports pricing and product provider. We are committed to building the next generation of sports betting products — designed to make betting more engaging, more intelligent, and more fun. We build player-level, play-by-play simulations and forecasts to support the success of key sports brands across the Entain Group.

As a Junior Trader Intern, you will take your first step into the fast-paced world of sports trading. This is a hands-on, immersive internship designed to build your understanding of how markets are priced, managed, and influenced by real-time sporting events. Working alongside our experienced trading team, you will gain practical exposure to simulation-driven pricing systems, risk management, and decision-making processes across multiple sports.

If you are passionate about sports, thrive on numbers, and are curious about how data powers the betting world, this is the ideal place to start your journey.

What You Will Do:
  • Shadow and learn from professional traders across a range of sports to understand trading methodologies and market dynamics.
  • Study sport-specific strategies and simulation models to learn how market prices are generated and adjusted.
  • Support the setup and preparation of fixtures, player ratings, and key data sources ahead of live events.
  • Observe and assist with live market management, learning how traders respond to changing conditions and data.
  • Explore the impact of player availability, team dynamics, and scheduling on market movement.
  • Gain insight into risk management, suspension protocols, and post-event analysis.
  • Develop familiarity with professional trading systems and structured trading environments.
  • Build adaptability across sports and learn when to escalate or intervene in automated processes.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing (final year) or recently completed a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Data or Computer Science, Engineering, Sports Management or any related discipline.
  • Keen interest and deep knowledge in American sports (in particular: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAAB, NCAAF).
  • Curious, analytical, and sports-minded individuals ready to learn how trading works from the inside.
  • People who enjoy working with data, numbers, and solving analytical problems.
  • Good Excel or data-handling skills (knowledge of Python, R, or SQL is a plus).
  • Flexibility - people who are happy to work any day of the week, including weekends, nights to cover sport events throughout the week.
Nice to have:
  • Previous exposure to betting, trading, or sports analytics environments.
  • Knowledge of market modelling, simulation techniques, or data visualisation tools.
  • An understanding of sports forecasting and player-level performance metrics.

To apply, please submit your CV and a brief cover letter explaining your interest and rating your preferred sport choices (NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, NCAAF or NCAAB).
