The Head of Programmes will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of multiple initiatives within the organisation. This role is responsible for ensuring that all programmes align with the strategic goals of the organisation and are completed on time, within scope, and budget. You will partner with pillar leadership, including MD’s Engineering and Product Director, and Heads across P&T to deliver complex initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Strategic Planning: develop and implement strategic plans that align with Product, Engineering and commercial OKRs.
- Programme Management: oversee the planning, execution, and completion of complex strategic programmes, ensuring they meet required standards and objectives.
- Team Leadership: lead and manage a team of Programme Managers, Project Managers, and Business Analysts, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Stakeholder Engagement: build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including MD’s, Product and Engineering Leadership, and the broader Performance Team.
- Budget Management: develop and manage the programme budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Risk & Issue Management: identify and mitigate risks associated with programme delivery.
- Reporting and Evaluation: monitor and report on programme performance, using data to drive continuous improvement and lead existing internal forums for problem solving.
- Collaborate: with Product, Engineering and Performance leadership to ensure alignment of strategic initiatives.
- Process: develop and enforce common processes, methodologies, and agile best practices for product and project delivery, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality.
Qualifications
- An expert in advanced Programme Management, planning, organising, and overseeing tasks, resources, and timelines to achieve specific objectives and deliver successful outcomes within a defined scope.
- A very strong communicator, capable of sharing or understanding information, ideas and feelings successfully.
- Experienced in programme finance including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and decision-making to support strategic goals.
- Visible and strong leader capable of leading not just their team but also people across the organization.
- Expert in Risk Management, identifying, evaluating and managing risks by developing and implementing risk management strategies, frameworks, policies, procedures and practices.
- Extensive experience in Resources Management, acquiring, allocating and managing resources efficiently and effectively.
- Technical Acumen, a basic technical understanding to effectively communicate with development teams and understand technical constraints.
- Advanced in Data Analysis, interpreting, cleaning, transforming, and deriving meaningful insights from complex datasets using statistical, computational, and visualization techniques.
- Stakeholder Management, organising, monitoring and improving relationships with stakeholders.
- Experienced in Quality Assurance to ensure that Entain provides the best possible product to our customers.
- Well‑versed in crisis management, prepared to handle unexpected challenges and crises such as game launch issues or security breaches.
- An advanced understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects of the betting and gaming industry.
- A deep understanding of the betting and gaming industry, including current trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape.
