Ensus are currently recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join the team at our single site in Wilton, Redcar. The Engineer's position is to provide mechanical expertise ensuring the safe and continuous operation of the Ensus Bioethanol facility on the Wilton site. To be the first line point of contact for all mechanical issues, whether this be queries around planned preventative maintenance or leading the maintenance team in carrying out repairs following breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities
- Take a lead in all mechanical breakdowns returning plant/equipment back to service in a safe manner as quickly as possible utilising all available resources.
- Act as Site Main Controller (SMC) on rota with others.
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions as and when required, ensuring actions allocated are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure equipment maintenance is utilising the correct maintenance philosophy (Preventative, scheduled, RTF etc.).
- Training of maintenance technicians and other members of the Engineering department. Sharing and learning. Promote the upskilling of personnel within the department.
- Provide mechanical engineering support for all areas of the plant.
- Work with European counterparts where necessary to get the most cost-effective solutions to issues, utilising existing Framework contracts and where necessary Central Procurement Department.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers where appropriate.
- Any service contracts owned to be managed via meetings where appropriate, ensuring a current valid contract that is fit for purpose is on the database.
Skills, Qualifications, Competence Level
- Ideally degree qualified to BEng(hons) level or equivalent.
- HNC minimum educational requirement.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar industry.
- Experience working on a top tier CoMAH site.
