Network Security Engineer / Consultant

The role
Design, deploy, secure and support network infrastructure for project and managed service customers. We welcome candidates from Engineer through to Consultant level and can shape the role around your experience.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN and next-generation firewall solutions.
- Configure routing, switching, VLANs, segmentation, high availability and VPNs.
- Implement secure remote access and Zero Trust solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide managed service escalation support.
- Review configurations, firewall policies and opportunities to improve security and resilience.
- Deliver migrations, office deployments and infrastructure refresh projects.
- Contribute to designs, proposals, implementation plans and documentation.
- Work directly with customers and providers, explaining recommendations clearly.
What you'll bring
Ideally, 3+ years' relevant experience, with strong networking and firewall fundamentals. Practical ability and judgement matter more than a specific number of years.
Fortinet is our core platform: FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiSASE. Fortinet experience is desirable, not essential. Experience with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto Networks or other enterprise platforms is welcome.
MSP, MSSP, systems integration or consulting experience would be valuable. Relevant certifications are advantageous, but demonstrable practical experience and a proven track record are equally valued.
You'll enjoy solving problems, take ownership through to resolution, communicate clearly and document your work. You don't need to know every technology in our stack; strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn are key.
