Enso Recruitment is proud to be working with a high-growth, local company to recruit an experienced Senior FPGA Developer to join a growing R&D team working on cutting-edge embedded and imaging solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level FPGA engineer who enjoys taking ownership of complex designs, working across the full development lifecycle, and contributing to high-performance, real-world systems in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
The Role
- Design, implement, and optimise FPGA solutions for image and video processing applications
- Develop FPGA-based architectures integrating microcontrollers, memory, high-speed interfaces, and IP blocks
- Implement and optimise signal and image processing algorithms in hardware
- Lead FPGA verification, testing, and on-target debugging
- Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams during system integration
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and design standards
About You
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
- Strong experience delivering multiple FPGA designs within complex digital systems
- Proficient in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog
- Hands-on experience with FPGA toolchains such as Vivado, Quartus, or Libero
- Solid understanding of timing constraints, verification, and hardware debug
- Experience with image/signal processing, SoC FPGA platforms, or high-speed interfaces is highly desirable
- Enjoy working closely with hardware and systems teams in an on-site R&D environment, with the ability to be present in the office five days per week to support hands-on development, collaboration, and testing
