Enso Recruitment is thrilled to be working with a global, product-led technology organisation who are expanding their Cloud & Platform Engineering function and are now seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a highly skilled, collaborative engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of critical cloud infrastructure, influence platform architecture, and help shape DevOps best practices within a modern, product-focused technology environment operating at scale.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in building, scaling and securing cloud infrastructure while supporting engineering teams with automation, tooling and reliability. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building scalable, cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Owning platform reliability, performance, and security standards
- Supporting containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Building and improving CI/CD pipelines to increase deployment velocity and safety
- Implementing automation and GitOps-style workflows
- Developing internal tooling, scripts, and dashboards to improve engineering productivity
- Embedding security best practices into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps)
- Supporting disaster recovery, resilience and fault-tolerant architecture
- Creating clear documentation, including runbooks and operational guides
- Mentoring other engineers and contributing to technical standards across the team
About You
- 5+ Years experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or similar)
- Great experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS etc.)
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Experience with scripting or programming (Python, Go, or similar)
- Experience working with monitoring/observability tooling (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and modern cloud patterns
- Solid awareness of security, compliance, and best practices in production environments
- Comfortable collaborating with distributed teams using modern communication tools
- Strong documentation and communication skills
