Enso Recruitment are delighted to be working with an innovative, product-focused technology organisation who are continuing to grow their Belfast engineering function. They are now seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support the ongoing development, automation, and optimisation of their AWS cloud infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1-2 years’ experience to join a collaborative technical team working with AWS, CI/CD, automation, and cloud-based platforms with real-world impact.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in supporting and improving AWS infrastructure, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and automation across a modern technical environment. Working closely with engineering and QA teams, you’ll help improve deployment efficiency, system reliability, and platform performance while continuing to develop your DevOps skillset.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda
- Assist with the development and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines
- Support deployment, release, and environment management processes
- Work with containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Help monitor and optimise AWS resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using tools such as CloudWatch
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to improve deployment workflows and automation
- Support infrastructure troubleshooting across AWS environments
- Contribute to automation and scripting initiatives across the platform
About You
- 1-2 years’ experience in a DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure, or Technical Operations role
- Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud environments
- Exposure to AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, or CloudWatch
- Strong working knowledge of Linux environments
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling
- Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar
- Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative team
