Enso Recruitment is proud to be working with an innovative, data-driven technology organisation who are continuing to scale their cloud and engineering capabilities. They are now seeking a DevOps Engineer to play a key role in building and optimising modern, cloud-native platforms.
The Opportunity
You will work at the heart of the engineering function, enabling faster, more reliable software delivery through automation and DevOps best practices. This is a hands-on role focused on CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and containerised environments, where you’ll collaborate closely with development teams to streamline workflows and improve system scalability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab
- Develop and maintain automated deployment processes, ensuring smooth and reliable releases
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes to manage and scale containerised applications
- Monitor system performance using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Identify and resolve infrastructure issues, performance bottlenecks, and deployment challenges
- Support testing automation, working with engineering teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to support build, release, and infrastructure requirements
- Contribute to infrastructure optimisation, scalability, and cost efficiency across cloud environments
- Support best practices across security, high availability, and disaster recovery
About You
- Experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools and practices
- Hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud platform
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with scripting (e.g. Python, Bash)
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
