Enso Recruitment is proud to be working with a growing IT services organisation who are expanding their support team. They are seeking a Service Desk Engineer to provide 1st and 2nd line support across a range of client environments. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong fundamentals in IT support who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, with exposure to a wide variety of technologies.
The Opportunity
You will act as a key point of contact for technical support, troubleshooting issues across desktop, server, and cloud environments. Working within a structured service desk, you'll manage tickets, support end users, and contribute to maintaining high service standards across multiple clients. This role is ideal for someone who has gained early experience in an MSP or IT support environment and is looking to continue developing their technical skillset.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support across a range of client environments
- Manage incoming tickets, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where required
- Support Microsoft 365 environments (Email, Teams, SharePoint basics)
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access via Active Directory
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Support Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)
- Assist with setup, configuration, and deployment of new devices
- Monitor systems and respond to alerts across client environments
- Support backup, security, and anti-virus solutions
- Liaise with third-party vendors where required
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the team
About You
- Experience in a 1st / 2nd line IT support role (ideally 2+ years)
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 (essential)
- Experience working in an MSP environment (highly desirable - including placements/internships)
- Good knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and user management
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, basic troubleshooting)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tickets and priorities effectively
- Full driving license is desirable
