Established in 2001, EnSilica is a publicly listed company (LON:ENSI), designing industry leading, application specific integrated circuit chips (ASIC), for customers ranging from start-ups to blue chip companies, in industries including automotive, medical, space and mobile technology companies. With its head office on Milton Park, Oxfordshire, and other offices in Bristol, Sheffield, Brazil (Porto Alegre), India (Bangalore) and Hungary (Budapest). EnSilica currently employs more than 200 people.
As part of our ongoing expansion, EnSilica need to strengthen our ASIC Digital Design team. We are looking for bright candidates who have an enthusiasm and aptitude for working in this vital part of our business. We are looking for a bright engineer with a passion for silicon engineering and the ambition to invest your energy on a semiconductor career path. You will have a strong academic record and already have 2+ years’ experience in IC design where you will have demonstrated excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team in a dynamic environment.
You will be already knowledgeable on the ASIC/SoC designs flows, from microarchitecture specification to verified RTL, and familiar with the fundamentals of the RTL to GDSII flows.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Functional specification of digital modules or subsystems
- RTL coding of digital modules or subsystems
- Contribution to full-chip assembly, through integration of 3rd party IPs in SoC Design, or connectivity integration of selected sets of components
- Run, debug and fix digital design modules, through lint, cdc and rdc analysis, and functional simulation, front end synthesizability checks
- Contribution to SoC verification and silicon bring up
- Contribution to design flow development
Your Key Skills and Experience
Essential
- 1st or 2.1 Electronics, Physics or relevant subject from a Tier 1 group University
- 2+ years’ experience in industry with a good track record in digital design or verification techniques
- A good understanding of the SoC design flow from specification to verified RTL, and familiar with the RTL to tape out part
- Good knowledge of verification techniques and proven ability to debug issues in a structured and timely way
- Knowledge of Verilog or System Verilog
Desirable
- Knowledge of DFT techniques and impact on the RTL design
- Good Knowledge of C, C++, Python is definitely an advantage
- Experience of FPGA design and associated tools
