Ensignbus Company Limited is a hugely successful business with over 40 years experience in Bus Sales, Service Work, Sightseeing Tours, Bus Conversions and Restorations. We are currently looking for an Engineering Fleet Supervisor to assist in the smooth day to day running of a fast paced and busy workshop. The position is based in Purfleet and the hours are Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm.
Working closely with the Engineering Manager, we are looking for someone that is hands on and has the ability to manage and motivate staff ensuring that MOT and service deadlines are met. The successful applicant will also be able to provide technical expertise to staff to assist in prompt repairs and maintain the Company's fleet to a high standard and in accordance to DVSA regulations.
To apply for this role, applicants MUST hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical field and be conversant with monitoring standard of engineering/mechanical work on either PCV/PSV, HGV, vans, trucks, coaches. Knowledge of safe operation of workshop equipment is essential and previous supervisory experience would be desirable. A full UK Driving License is required. Must be a UK resident.
About the role:
- Supervise the maintenance and servicing of the fleet, ensuring vehicles comply with all statutory regulations.
- Induct and develop an engaged, talented, and high performing engineering team.
- Efficiently allocate planned and unplanned work across the engineering team, including covering on the day absence.
- Ensure the availability of vehicles in line with operational requirements.
- Support the Stores Manager to ensure optimum management of stock.
- Maintain accurate records for all aspects of engineering standards and performance, including fleet and environmental management.
- Conduct any disciplinary, grievance or absence management reviews.
- Work alongside depot operational and engineering team members to effectively manage all aspects of service performance, including vehicle allocation, breakdowns, changeovers and punctuality and reliability of services.
PSV or HGV License will be an advantage but this is not an essential requirement for the role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 depending on qualifications and experience.
