Job Description

This is an entry-level position requiring no prior experience, as comprehensive training, including manual handling, will be provided. Experience in a busy environment is preferred. The role involves some heavy lifting.

Core Role

As part of the Soil Department, the main responsibility of a Soil Technician is to organize samples upon receipt before booking, preparation, and analysis.

• Open received samples, dry, prepare, and extract for analysis
• Unload and move heavy batches of samples around the laboratory and site
• Prioritize safety and compliance in all processes
• Operate specialist equipment for sample preparation
• Communicate effectively with other departments and occasionally with customers
• Maintain equipment and work environment as required

Suitable candidates should also possess enthusiasm, energy, and strong communication skills.
