The Mobilisation Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing the mobilisation and demobilisation of vessels for specific projects. This role ensures that all mobilisation activities are completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project specifications. The position requires strong coordination between engineering, logistics, HSE, and project management teams.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mobilisation and demobilisation plans tailored to each project’s requirements.
- Ensure the asset mobilisation is adequately prepared, certified, and equipped for the project.
- Lead mobilisation activities at the port or project site, supervising staff and contractors.
- Implement safety protocols during mobilisation and ensure adherence to HSE standards.
- Maintain accurate records of mobilisation processes, including inspection checklists, permits, and safety documents.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to align mobilisation plans.
Key Tasks
- Create mobilisation schedules, resource plans, risk assessments, and budget estimations.
- Coordinate with project managers, marine superintendents, and engineering teams to define mobilisation scopes.
- Oversee equipment loading, configuration, and pre-deployment testing.

- Track mobilisation costs and manage budget adherence.
- Communicate progress and updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Education and Qualifications Specific to Role
- Essential Qualifications
- Strong understanding of marine safety regulations, ISM Code and vessel certification processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site during mobilisation phases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Operations, Project Management, Marine Engineering or related field.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with offshore logistics, subsea operations, and vessel chartering.
- Experience in managing multi-vessel mobilisation for large-scale projects.
- Previous experience in asset mobilisations, project coordination or marine operations.
