The Opportunity: Ensemble is seeking a motivated and passionate cybersecurity intern to join our dynamic team, focusing on cybersecurity in the healthcare field. This internship offers the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in protecting healthcare data and systems, working alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects. The ideal candidate will be a proactive learner with a strong desire to contribute to safeguarding patient protected health information. The summer internship would be a 10 week program starting June 1st and ending August 7th.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and documentation specific to healthcare compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Monitor security systems and respond promptly to security incidents.
  • Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats and technologies.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and team members to enhance overall cybersecurity posture.

All interns will be involved in events throughout the program such as social events, lunch and learn meetings, volunteer events and program kick-off to meet each other and program leaders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Present enrollment in accredited bachelor's or master's degree program.
  • May/Jun 2025, Dec 2025 or May/Jun 2026 bachelor's or master's degree candidates in computer science or related fields.
  • Minimum GPA: Overall - 3.0; In major - 3.2.

Desired Education Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Science, Engineering, or similar degree.

Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • An interest in working with a variety of technologies, within the Microsoft Azure environment.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving abilities along with a "can-do" attitude.
