About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to lead high-quality analytical work across the organisation. You will frame complex analytical problems, deliver robust insights, and influence how teams use data to make decisions. You will take ownership of analytical modelling, dashboard design, and data interpretation within your domain, ensuring outputs are consistent, scalable, and trusted. You will coach others, improve analytical standards, and act as a champion for data driven thinking across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical capability with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical leadership.

Key responsibilities:

  • Frame ambiguous business problems into structured analytical questions and define the right approach.
  • Lead the design and delivery of high impact analyses, ensuring outputs are statistically sound and decision‑ready.
  • Build scalable, reusable analytical datasets and dashboards that support cross team decision‑making.
  • Improve analytical modelling practices, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with business logic.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to analysts to raise team capability.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align analytical work with strategic goals and influence data‑led decision making.
  • Identify and resolve complex data discrepancies, ensuring metric definitions remain consistent and trusted.
  • Communicate uncertainty, limitations, and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead improvements to analytical processes, documentation, and validation practices.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and responsible use standards across analytical work.

Experience required:

  • Significant experience in data analytics with a track record of delivering high quality insights and modelling.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience building reliable analytical datasets.
  • Experience designing dashboards and analytical products that influence decision making.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly to all audiences.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, uncertainty, and analytical interpretation.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions, reframe problems, and guide analytical direction.
  • Experience improving analytical processes, standards, or modelling practices within a team.
  • Experience in customer service, retail energy, or SaaS environments.
  • Python skills for advanced analysis.
  • Experience with Databricks or similar analytical platforms.
  • Understanding of data engineering concepts and upstream data dependencies.
  • Experience designing or reviewing experiments (A/B tests).
