Are you an experienced Support Worker or Care Assistant looking for a new opportunity, working for a unique and innovative care provider where you are based in one location for the duration of your shift and not spending your day travelling around?

Pay rate: £12.21 per hour!

Who are we: We are a Supported Living Provider looking for experienced Support Workers or Care Assistants to work with our clients over several services in the Colchester Area.

What do we require:

  • We require additional Support Workers or Care Assistants that can be flexible and able to cover all shift patterns between Monday and Friday, which will also include weekends.
  • You will be supporting our clients in the Colchester area who are living with a severe learning disability, autistic spectrum conditions, Downs Syndrome, nonverbal, Epilepsy and some of our clients can display behaviours that communicate distress.
  • You will need to provide full personal care, support our clients to access the community and provide person centred interaction.
  • Some of our clients will require the use of a wheelchair when accessing the community.

A Support Worker or Care Assistant with required experience and excellent communication skills, be committed to quality & support with everything that you do and be able to demonstrate excellent values, behaviours and attitudes whilst supporting our clients. You will need to be patient and have a calming personality.

You must be a car driver with a full UK driving licence to enable our service users to access the community. This post is only open to female staff only as it involves personal care; Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9 Part I).

You will need some experience:

To apply for this role, you will need to have at least 6 months previous experience in the UK in the care sector as a Support Worker or Care Assistant, supporting individual(s) with physical and learning disabilities. You will need to be a car driver with business insurance to enable our client to access the community.
