Are you a qualified nurse looking for a new role that prioritises employee wellbeing? We have a fantastic opportunity to join an inspirational and pioneering team establishing a care home business and delivering the vision to "create a world where everyone feels special". They are recruiting an experienced qualified RGN to work permanent nights at a nursing home based in Chelmsford, Essex. Sponsorship is not being offered for this role. You will need an active NMC Pin and experience in nursing care for the elderly. Working hours are 7:45 pm–8:00 am, 3 or 4 nights per week. The hourly rate is £24.25. The organisation also offers a £2,500 welcome bonus (terms apply).
Responsibilities
- Act as Named Nurse for identified residents, ensuring all risk assessments, Care Needs Assessments and Personal Care Plans are in place and evaluated monthly, and promoting resident involvement and choice.
- Attend case reviews and, during periods of planned leave, ensure all documentation is up to date and that a nominated person will assume this role in the absence.
- Provide leadership and guidance for the day‑to‑day running of a defined area, ensuring resident care is delivered in line with their Care Needs Assessment.
- Offer professional advice and support to Senior Care Assistants and coordinate residential care areas.
- Respond to clinical emergencies irrespective of the care delivery status of residents.
- Support and, where required, take lead in managing monthly routine medication for a defined area, including mentoring Senior Care Assistants to take on this role under supervision.
- Work with the Deputy Manager in developing and completing clinical and environmental audits according to the agreed annual governance programme.
Skills and Knowledge
- Active NMC Registration
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Basic IT literacy
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Previous experience in a Care role
- Recognised Medication administration qualification and experience
- Demonstrable ability in organising, leading, inspiring, and influencing a team
