Responsibilities
- Assist in day‑to‑day management of a property portfolio.
- Coordinate all facets of the repossession process such as bailiffs, estate agents, insurances, cleaning, and security.
- Arrange repairs, maintenance, and statutory inspections, ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales.
- Monitor contractor performance and process work orders.
- Collate and maintain accurate property records, tenancy information and compliance documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, invoice processing and expenditure tracking.
- Coordinate agents’ valuations, review terms and conditions, instruct and maintain action logs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including fire risk assessments, asbestos management, EPCs, EICRs, gas safety and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets and management information for senior management.
- Support disposals by instructing lawyers on legal documentation and deal progression.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, agents, solicitors, receivers and other key stakeholders.
- Undertake general administrative duties to support the Asset Management team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management, estate agency, asset management or property administration (preferred, not essential).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Customer‑focused with strong interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of landlord and tenant legislation (preferred, not essential).
- Knowledge of residential and/or commercial property management.
- Possibly working towards a professional qualification such as RICS.
- Working hard, tenacious, a creative thinker and good communicator (written & verbal) is essential.
- Professional and approachable.
- Highly organised and proactive.
- Strong problem‑solving ability.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptable and eager to learn.
