Key Accountabilities
The underlying learns and responsibilities of the Lending Director will consist of:
- Generating new development finance opportunities by building new relationships and managing existing relationships with developers, broker/intermediaries and property professionals.
- Originating and structuring development finance opportunities that you will generate.
- You will be responsible for managing the underwriting and credit process of completing new development finance opportunities.
- You will then be responsible for managing the drawdowns and redemptions of the facilities that are originated ensuring that the portfolio of loans is consistently performing.
- You will have responsibility to grow out or manage a team around you to assist you in hitting the proposed origination targets and to effectively manage the portfolio of loans.
This list is not exhaustive and the duties are liable to change from time to time in line with the needs of the department.

- Having a strong established track record of originating development finance opportunities and managing a portfolio of loans is essential.
- Great communication skills essential for dealing with borrowers and brokers/intermediaries.
- Presentation of credit papers to the credit committee and senior management.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment in a role that requires you to deal with a wide range of stakeholders.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Knowledge in reviewing development appraisals and structuring development finance facilities.
- Knowledge of the credit underwriting process including the legal process, reviewing valuation and monitoring surveyor reports.
