We are excited to announce the opening of our new nursery provision and are looking for a passionate, highly motivated, and skilled nursery practitioner to join our team. Our nursery caters to children aged 2 to 4 years old, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for their growth and development.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
- Is patient, calm and has a good sense of humour
- Demonstrate high expectations of positive behaviour for learning
- Has experience of working with Early Years aged children
- Has some knowledge of SEND and experience of working with SEND children (e.g. ASD, ADHD, attachment and trauma difficulties, specific learning difficulties)
- Can work under the guidance of the Nursery Manager and EYFS lead but can use their own initiative to ensure that children have access to appropriate activities to support their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development.
- Is organised and can support in the development and maintenance of appropriate planning, observation, and assessment procedures. Working closely and collaboratively with external agencies such as health visitors.
- Provides targeted support to enhance learning for children with a range of needs: SEMH, Speech and Language difficulties, motor difficulties, social interaction and communication difficulties.
- Has knowledge of the EYFS curriculum documentation e.g. development matters and can bring creativity to the role.
- Has a commitment to supporting all children to reach their potential
- Will be committed to the role, our values and our team.
- Builds and maintains relationships with pupils, parents and other members of staff in order to ensure the children are receiving the best possible support.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, and confidentiality.
