Enpure Ltd is a progressive organization in water and wastewater services and is looking to recruit a self‑motivated and engaging Principal Mechanical Engineer with strong analytical skills and experience in technical design, delivery and management of water and wastewater engineering projects.
Your New Role
- Lead and contribute on feasibility, outline and detailed design projects.
Other Duties To Include
- Interface with clients and collaborators in design and planning.
- Carry out visits to site to complete site surveys and support of liaisons with clients, government authorities, contractors, suppliers.
- Integrate with other disciplines within the business and externally to agree and confirm a desired design.
- Support bidding and be proactive in the winning of work.
- Deliver to an agreed budget, programme and quality.
- Take ownership of specific skill areas or activities within our technical knowledge networks.
- Support and mentor, and provide technical input which may serve as a technical advisor to the team.
- Seek innovation and trial new methods, being inquisitive by nature.
- Provide input to the development of engineering specification and procedures to meet requirements.
- Opportunity to present your project work at company meetings or at conferences.
- Work with and develop our digital tools and products.
Qualifications And Experience
- Degree-qualified with a mechanical engineering bias.
- Extensive UK water/wastewater industry experience.
- Blend of leadership and technical expertise.
- Experience managing and mentoring teams and/or individuals and/or projects, potentially split across disciplines and locations.
- Desire to assist in developing a team of junior engineers.
- Developing external profile and reputation; willingness to raise the profile of oneself and the Company.
- Willingness to contribute to and develop our technical knowledge networks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Water and wastewater treatment project experience across feasibility, outline, detailed design, construction support extremely desirable.
- Experience using a 3D Design tool and other proprietary software products.
- Chartered member of a recognised engineering institution.
