Junior Buyer – Spirits, Beer, Softs and Champagne
We have an incredible opportunity for a Spirits, Beer, Softs & Champagne Buyer in our Enotria & Coe Buying Team!
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Buying – for all non-still wine, the Buyer is responsible for managing the relationships of suppliers across all relevant categories, reviewing and maintaining the portfolio, delivering JBP, analysing pricing, reporting and supporting all stakeholders in relation to day-to-day processes,

- Location: Park Royal, London (Hybrid)*
*Hybrid working pattern based on 3 days in the office
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate supplier terms that best support the needs of Enotria’s customer base.
- Work with designated brand owners and European brokers to ensure that the Enotria pricing is competitive in the domestic market.
- Work alongside Head of Buying on the development of a detailed promotional calendar to maximise the revenue for both our suppliers and Enotria.
- Meet with all allocated suppliers on quarterly bases to review portfolio performance and agreed JBP strategies/ targets.
- Overseeing, managing and entering annual price movements across the supplier portfolios, and negotiate to mitigate the financial impact to Enotria.
- Support the wider company digital strategy through collaborative support of the supplier base.
- Responsible for collaboratively achievement of annual buying targets.
- Work with demand planning to support the ordering process to ensure that the right stock is being ordered.
- Responsible for ensuring product data is accurate and up to date in our systems for all lines.
- Work with the sales teams to ensure they have relevant information.
- Support the sales team with pricing requirements and requests.
- Responsible for sourcing one-off (case in/case out) products at the specific request of customers.
- Buy in stock deals for promotions.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Proficient with Excel & Cubes
- Desired WSET 2 Spirits qualification or equivalent
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience with direct spirits buying experience
- Proven ability to deliver market-leading costs savings by leveraging brand-owner relationships
- Proven track record of generating additional revenue through developing alternative revenue streams.
- Attention to detail and Organisational Skills
- Excellent category, products, suppliers and marketplace knowledge
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products, with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives
- Ability to assess products on a qualitative, commercial and marketability basis
- Team player; able to actively contribute and participate as a member of a team and work well with colleagues at all levels
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High level of commercial awareness
- Ability to be tactful and diplomatic
- Ability to absorb and assess information quickly
- Strong analytical skills, possess numerical skill set to interpret statistics and make commercial decisions
