We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join our team in Scotland working in the Automotive/Aerospace and Power Sector. This role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities for the Scotland plant working closely with the Plant Manager to generate and secure long term revenue projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities, including new clients, partnerships, products and services.
- Lead technical sales activities for metal stamping, plating and moulding products, aligning customer requirements with our manufacturing capabilities.
- Support the preparation and deliver accurate quotations, tenders and project proposals whilst working with the internal business development team.
- Ensure the sales forecast and pipeline is consistently and accurately maintained.
- Track sales performance, pipeline progress, and project status, reporting key metrics directly to the Plant Manager.
- Support customers in product design optimization for manufacturability, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Liaise closely with engineering and production teams to ensure projects meet technical and commercial expectations.
- Represent the company at customer sites, trade shows, and technical meetings to strengthen the brand technical credibility.
- Monitor UK market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to support local business strategy.
- Report directly to the Plant Manager on sales performance, forecast and pipeline development.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in technical sales or business development, ideally within automotive or aerospace sector but not limited to.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, CRM software and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as high speed stamping, injection moulding and automation is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
