We’re looking for a wedding-savvy, target-smashing Groups & Events Executive to create unforgettable moments at The Hoxton, Edinburgh.
Reporting to the Groups & Events Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing our wedding and social event market, converting enquiries to drive events revenue into The Hoxton, Edinburgh.
We’ve opened our doors in Edinburgh’s charming West End – our very first Hox in Scotland. Set across 11 beautiful Georgian townhouses, we’re home to 214 bedrooms, a lively open lobby and bar, an all-day Italian trattoria Patatino, a retro-inspired cinema, a flexible and super-size event space called The Get Together, and The Apartment – our unique signature spot for meetings, private dinners and memorable gatherings.
More about us…
The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night. We want to be more than that: proving style doesn’t need to be sacrificed for good value and providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and submerse themselves in the neighbourhood with vibrant, welcoming public spaces.

What you’ll do…
- Be the go-to person for wedding and social groups & events clients, managing your bookings from hello to happily-ever-after – from proposals and negotiations, to contracts, invoices, planning special days, site visits, and follow-ups.
- Lead show rounds for prospective couples and showcase The Hoxton at familiarisation events and trade shows, making them fall in love with Hox before the big day even starts.
- Know our operation inside out and give hotel teams the handovers they actually want – all the details they need to deliver wow-worthy guest experiences.

- Use your insider Hoxton know-how to win hearts (and bookings) while keeping the team up to speed.
- Bring your eagle eye for detail to our booking systems, tracking enquiries, generating contracts, invoices, function sheets, taking deposits, and keeping everything neat and up to date for smooth handovers.
- Build brilliant relationships with clients and suppliers, truly understand guest needs, follow up like a pro, and create opportunities to upsell without being pushy.
- Be a true Hoxton ambassador, keeping the guest experience front and centre in everything you do.
- Actively contribute to our good vibes and positive team culture in our fast-paced, growing, multi-property department – because culture isn’t just a buzzword here.
- Champion collaboration across teams, building strong relationships and communication to keep everyone connected and the magic flowing.
- Keep your thinking cap on, get creative when problem-solving, and don’t be afraid to challenge the norm, your fresh ideas are what make us Hoxton!
- Cross-sell all global Hoxton and Ennismore properties, where applicable, to maximise revenue opportunities across corporate segments.
- And yes, there’s a little admin… ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly administration is completed accurately and that all groups have necessary documentation on file. But let’s face it, we know you love that.
- Support the sales team in attending and assisting with in-house marketing activities, familiarisation trips, client hospitality evenings, presentations, show rounds and promotional activities as required.
What we’re looking for…
- Individuals. You’re looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here.
- Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night.
- You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.
- You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get things done.
- You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
- If we got stuck in a lift together, we’d have a good time and share a few laughs.
- You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other, and has fun along the way.
- Experience working within wedding/social market in within hotels or venues (essential).
- Confident using systems like Opera or Delphi(essential).
