We can’t wait to open our first UK hotel outside of London…and where better than the characterful capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. We are now looking for an experienced Events Manager to join our team and play a crucial part in successfully launching our brand in this new neighbourhood. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the full and successful use of the events space at The Hoxton, Edinburgh.
The Hox in Edinburgh will boast 214 bedrooms influenced by the Georgian heritage of the building and city, a main restaurant and big lobby & bar, a large event space and The Apartment - our unique meetings and events concept.

What you’ll do…
- Responsible for the smooth running of day & evening functions, meetings and events, ensuring guests have a brilliant experience.
- Manage day and evening events, working within the strategy and events programme set by our sales and meeting & events teams.
- Lead your team by example, keeping them involved and motivated.
- Liaise closely with central meeting and event bookings team to ensure a seamless line of communication.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and Director of F&B to deliver a consistently excellent standard of food and beverage.
- Pro-actively provide input and feedback, look for opportunities to improve & innovate.
- Take ownership over the costs of the meeting and events business.
- Handle stock & expenses and manage the relationship with our events suppliers and contractors.
- Take overall responsibility for the health & safety of anyone using the area.
