We are looking for a determined, energetic, and pro‐active Sales Manager for Groups, Meetings & Events to turn leads into bookings, ideas into action and keep the numbers climbing at The Hoxton, Edinburgh. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for creating and managing a portfolio of accounts driving groups, meetings and events into The Hoxton, Edinburgh. We will look to you to establish relationships with key players and grow their loyalty. If you are great with people, have relevant experience in a hotel sales environment and are looking to join our growth journey, this is just the ticket.

The Hoxton is a series of open‐house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we have never just been about offering a bed for the night. We want to be more than that: proving style doesn’t need to be sacrificed for good value and providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and submerge themselves in the neighbourhood with vibrant, welcoming public spaces.

What’s in it for you:

  • Become part of a team that’s very passionate about creating great hospitality experiences.
  • 29 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension and life insurance.
  • Food on us during your shift.
  • Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two when you first start with us.
  • Training to get you settled into your role with ongoing development that helps you think, make and thrive to set you up for success at work.
  • Time off to volunteer with one of our partner charities.
  • Hox Hero and Nifty Fifty, our rewards for going the extra mile and living our values.
  • An annual diversity and inclusion calendar of events creating opportunities for you to learn, celebrate and make a positive impact.
  • Regular team get-togethers, from our High Fives to our (pretty special!) team parties – we know how to have a good time!
  • The chance to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding.
  • Join an innovative, fast‐growing, international group that is shaking things up on the hospitality scene.
  • Excellent discounts across The Hoxton and the global Ennismore family.

What you’ll do:

  • Working closely with our Director of Sales, you will actively win over new business and manage key relationships while working towards segment revenue goals and KPIs.
  • Responsible for developing and growing key accounts within the following market segments: Groups and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE).
  • Prepare and execute creative sales strategies to source, drive and grow our revenues from your managed accounts.
  • Generate new business through market research and liaising closely with ACCOR and the Hoxton Global Sales Team.
  • Build up Account Management Plans, making sure you are "in the know" on the latest market news and competitor insights too.
  • Organise show rounds, HOX sleepovers and familiarisation trips to maximise The Hoxton's exposure amongst key decision makers.
  • Complete all other duties, tasks and projects as assigned by the Director of Sales.
  • Cross-sell The Hoxton and Ennismore properties globally to maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new group business opportunities in corporate, social, and event segments.
  • Build and maintain long‐term relationships with group clients, including event planners, corporate clients, and associations.
  • Conduct sales presentations, site inspections, and client meetings to promote the property’s group facilities and services.
  • Analyse groups & events data and market trends to refine sales strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Individuals who are looking for a place where they can be themselves; no clones in suits here.
  • Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night.
  • A positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.
  • A collaborative spirit; we leave our egos at the door and help get things done.
  • A willingness to do things differently and try (almost) everything once.
  • Someone with at least 3 years proven experience in proactive sales and key account management, in the hotel industry, who can make a quick impact on our team.
  • High energy, ready to represent The Hoxton brand at industry tradeshows, networking events, sales calls & trips.
  • A people person who is great at growing and nurturing long-lasting relationships.
  • Strong organisational and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
