We are looking for an experienced General Manager to join us at Hyde London City, our lavish seven-storey, 111-room bespoke hideaway in the heart of the city. Hyde is embracing an evolved brand identity that is all about a festival vibe with music at its core. Hyde perfectly balances an elevated bohemian-chic aesthetic with a youthful, laidback ambience. The spaces are defined by vibrant colours and are designed to encourage serendipitous connections and new discoveries around every corner.
What you’ll do…
- Take full ownership of the property’s commercial success and overall performance, overseeing everything from P&L management to budgeting, planning, forecasting, and re-forecasting.
- Drive business growth in Food & Beverage by maintaining the energy and appeal of Leydi and Black Lacquer.
- Lead by example in creating a brilliant experience for our guests that exceeds their expectations and builds a great reputation for our properties, forging long-term relationships.
- Make sure our brand standards are properly brought to life and think outside of the box in how we ground the Hyde brand in the local market.
- Make your Hyde Crew (the team) a real focus. You will be managing a large team with 8+ direct reports, so creating an environment where they feel supported, have opportunities to grow, and enjoy what they do is key to this role!
- Play a key role in managing the relationship with the ownership, central teams and other key stakeholders.
About you…
- A strong hotel operator with local experience and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Comfortable handling all commercial aspects, including F&B, and able to strike the balance between commercial decisions and doing what’s right for the brand.
- Passion for providing great guest experiences, rooted in high-quality service that feels natural.
- Someone who leads from the front – you’re only as good as your team, know how to set standards, and motivate & develop those around you.
- You embrace an entrepreneurial approach—aligning with what the brand and the owners want to see—challenging existing processes and running the property as if it were your own business.
- Good market & industry knowledge and connections that you can use to make sure the brand makes an impact.
What’s in it for you...
- Join an innovative, fast-growing, international group that’s committed to not just building new hotels but building a global brand.
- The chance to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding.
- Become part of a team that’s very passionate about creating great hospitality experiences.
- A competitive package and plenty of opportunity for development.
