A leading manufacturer of heating and renewable products is recruiting an experienced Heat Pump Engineer covering the Derby and Nottingham postcode regions. This is a field-based role focused primarily on the service, fault finding and repair of air source heat pumps within domestic properties. The position will also include some gas boiler repair, servicing and heating system diagnostic work where required. The successful candidate must have proven heat pump experience and be confident working independently in customers’ homes. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong renewable heating knowledge who wants to join an established manufacturer with a recognised product range, strong technical support and long-term career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out service, maintenance and repair work on domestic air source heat pumps.
- Diagnose faults on heat pump systems and complete effective repairs.
- Identify and replace faulty components across renewable heating systems.
- Carry out system checks including controls, wiring, flow rates and heating performance.
- Complete heating system diagnostics across domestic properties.
- Carry out gas boiler fault finding, repairs and servicing where required.
- Complete CP12s and relevant gas safety documentation where applicable.
- Provide clear technical advice to customers in a professional manner.
- Represent the manufacturer’s brand positively while delivering excellent customer service.
- Complete job sheets, service records and compliance paperwork accurately.
- Proven experience servicing, fault finding and repairing domestic heat pumps.
- Strong working knowledge of air source heat pump systems.
- Experience working on domestic heating systems.
- Current Gas ACS certificates including CCN1 and CENWAT1.
- Valid Gas Safe registration.
- Previous boiler fault finding and repair experience.
- Competence using a multimeter and completing electrical safety checks.
- Strong diagnostic skills across heating controls and system performance.
- Excellent customer service skills.
