A Maintenance Technician is required to support a multi-building site in Slough, taking ownership of reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance across buildings and grounds. You will help keep the site safe, compliant and running smoothly with occasional travel to other locations as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate faults and complete repairs across buildings and external areas.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and aim to resolve issues on a same day basis where possible.
- Complete tasks to agreed standards while meeting deadlines and keeping stakeholders updated.
- Proactively identify additional maintenance needs and raise solutions before issues escalate.
- Source and collect materials and consumables required to complete repairs and maintenance.
- Carry out scheduled fire, health and safety checks and maintain accurate compliance records.
- Complete building maintenance checklists, log issues and action corrective work.
- Deliver preventative maintenance activities including basic repairs, decorating, plumbing support and electrical support where competent to reduce defects and improve standards.
- Maintain internal registers and documentation in line with company policies and procedures.
- Travel to alternative sites when required to support wider maintenance needs.
Preferred Ideal Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven experience working in a multi-skilled maintenance environment.
- Strong practical fault finding ability with a hands on approach to repairs and upkeep.
- Good computer skills including Google Docs, Excel and Word.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to manage your workload, prioritise effectively and complete jobs to a high standard.
- Any plumbing or electrical qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
