A leading UK training and assessment provider within the building services sector is hiring a Gas and Plumbing Trainer and Assessor for its Northolt, Middlesex centre. You will deliver engaging, high-quality training and assessment across your competent scopes with a strong focus on domestic gas plus plumbing, supporting candidates from day one through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Deliver training and assessment across scopes where you can evidence occupational competence, with domestic gas as a minimum.
- Support candidates throughout their learning journey, monitoring progress and helping remove blockers to completion.
- Conduct assessments and examinations to scheme requirements, marking promptly and providing clear feedback.
- Work with the Centre Manager on technical resources, course structure, course development and training materials.
- Coordinate with administration on candidate paperwork, feedback and non-technical course requirements.
- Maintain accurate, organised and confidential assessment records and documentation.
- Invigilate examinations and manage oral questioning where required.
- Interview prospective candidates when needed.
- Promote the provider and its course portfolio with professionalism and credibility.
- Maintain a safe, tidy and secure training and assessment environment.
- Attend team meetings and complete agreed actions.
- Continue developing your capability to deliver additional scopes over time.
- Complete internal verification activities once the relevant IQA award is achieved.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 Plumbing qualification minimum plus Water Regulations knowledge.
- ACS domestic gas certificates with at least 5 years of industry experience.
- Commercial gas qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Additional scopes such as LPG, Catering or ESP are beneficial.
- Related qualifications in electrical or renewables are beneficial.
- Teaching qualification such as AET is beneficial.
- Assessor awards such as D32, A1 or TAQA are beneficial.
- IQA award such as D34, V1 or equivalent is beneficial.
- Confident delivering to groups with an engaging training style.
- Professional, approachable and candidate-focused communication skills.

Salary: Β£38,000 - Β£40,000 + incremental increases
