Location: Milton Keynes, UK

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the E-commerce Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day management, optimisation and growth of the company’s ecommerce websites and online brands. Working closely with web developers, SEO and PPC agencies, and internal stakeholders, you will drive qualified website traffic, improve conversion rates, increase average order value, and support the delivery of online revenue growth. Using analytics, competitor insight, customer behaviour data and continuous testing, you will identify opportunities to improve ecommerce performance and customer experience across all digital channels. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining ecommerce management, digital marketing, commercial analysis and project coordination within a growing international business.

Responsibilities

  • E-commerce Management
    • Manage the day-to-day operation of company WooCommerce websites.
    • Maintain product information, pricing, content, imagery, promotions and merchandising activity.
    • Ensure websites remain accurate, up to date and aligned with business objectives.
    • Manage and optimise the online presence and ecommerce performance of the company’s key brands.
    • Support the launch of new products, promotions and ecommerce initiatives.
    • Monitor website performance and customer experience, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Traffic Growth & Digital Performance
    • Work with SEO, PPC and digital marketing agency partners to increase qualified traffic to ecommerce websites.
    • Identify opportunities to grow organic, paid, referral and direct website traffic.
    • Support the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns that drive online sales.
    • Monitor search visibility, paid advertising performance and website acquisition channels.
    • Help deliver online revenue growth through effective traffic acquisition and optimisation strategies.
  • Website Optimisation & Conversion Rate Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve website usability, customer journeys and conversion rates.
    • Plan, coordinate and analyse A/B testing programmes across landing pages, product pages, navigation, promotions and checkout journeys.
    • Use website analytics and customer behaviour data to make data-driven recommendations.
    • Work with developers and agency partners to implement optimisation initiatives.
    • Improve WooCommerce functionality, performance, checkout experience and overall customer journey.
    • Drive a culture of continuous testing, learning and improvement across ecommerce channels.
  • Revenue Growth & Merchandising
    • Support delivery of ecommerce revenue and growth objectives.
    • Monitor and improve key ecommerce KPIs including revenue, traffic, conversion rate, average order value (AOV), return on advertising spend (ROAS) and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
    • Identify and implement opportunities to increase Average Order Value through merchandising, cross-selling, upselling, product recommendations and promotional activity.
    • Analyse sales performance and customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities.
    • Support initiatives that improve customer retention and repeat purchase rates.
  • Market Analysis
    • Conduct regular competitor analysis covering product range, pricing, promotions, website functionality and customer experience.
    • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to improve competitiveness and drive revenue growth.
    • Benchmark ecommerce performance against key competitors.
    • Provide recommendations for pricing, product positioning, promotional activity and website improvements based on market intelligence.
  • Supplier Management
    • Manage day-to-day relationships with external digital marketing agencies, web developers and suppliers.
    • Coordinate project delivery and ensure activities are completed on time and to a high standard.
    • Review agency performance and monitor the effectiveness of digital marketing activity.
    • Support the onboarding and management of new agency partners where required.
    • Ensure agency activity is aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Projects
    • Coordinate website enhancement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Work with developers and stakeholders to deliver ecommerce developments and new functionality.
    • Support testing, implementation and project delivery activities.
    • Ensure website changes are implemented effectively and deliver measurable results.
  • Performance Reporting & Budget Management
    • Produce regular ecommerce and digital marketing performance reports for management.
    • Monitor and report against agreed KPIs including revenue, traffic, conversion rate, average order value (AOV), return on advertising spend (ROAS), customer acquisition cost (CAC) and other key ecommerce metrics.
    • Track ecommerce and digital marketing budgets, ensuring spend is monitored and aligned with business objectives.
    • Work with agency partners to review campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve return on investment.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reviews, highlighting achievements, trends, risks and recommended actions.
    • Support forecasting, budgeting and ecommerce planning activities.
    • Maintain accurate reporting dashboards and performance tracking tools.

Necessary Skills

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, website management or a related role.
  • Experience managing and optimising WooCommerce websites.
  • Good understanding of SEO, PPC, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and ecommerce performance metrics.
  • Experience using website analytics and customer behaviour data to drive commercial improvements.
  • Experience working with external agencies and suppliers.
  • Experience producing performance reports and presenting insights and recommendations.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities to increase traffic, conversion rates, average order value and revenue.
  • Comfortable working with budgets, KPIs and performance targets.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
