Enlightenment Education is supporting a fantastic Derby SEND school seeking 2 experienced and resilient SEND Teachers, one to teach across KS2, and one KS3/4. These are long-term, full-time roles working with small classes with strong TA support, starting asap.
About the Role
You will be teaching small groups of SEND learners with a range of needs, including:
- Social, emotional and mental health needs
- Autism
- ADHD
- Communication and interaction difficulties
- Challenging behaviour
- Complex learning needs
The school provides excellent TA support, a nurturing team, and a structured environment where consistency is key.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons cross curriculum tailored to individual needs
- Managing behaviour positively and confidently
- Working closely with TAs to support learning and progress
- Creating a safe, structured and supportive classroom environment
- Attending one after-school meeting per week
Hours & Commitment
Monday to Friday
8.30am - 3.30pm
Long-term full-time supply
Small class sizes with strong support
Who We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
- Experience teaching SEND learners (KS2 and/or KS3/4)
- Confident managing challenging behaviour
- Calm, consistent and nurturing approach
- Able to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs
