Enlightenment Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in the Littleover area of Derby for a temporary full-time position. The role will run from Monday 7th September to Wednesday 30th September 2026, with the potential for further opportunities following this period.
The Role
- Delivering targeted interventions during the morning
- Providing PPA cover during the afternoon
- Leading classes independently across Years 3-6
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Supporting pupils to make progress academically and socially
- Managing classroom behaviour confidently and positively
- Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
We're Looking For
- An experienced HLTA or highly experienced Teaching Assistant
- Strong experience working within a primary school setting
- Confidence in leading whole classes independently
- Experience across Key Stage 2, particularly Years 3-6
- Ability to confidently manage classroom behaviour
- Adaptability to deliver a range of interventions
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Reliability, enthusiasm, and commitment to supporting pupils
QTS is not required, but you must have strong classroom experience and be confident leading lessons independently.
