1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 3 | Derby

Role: 1:1 support – Year 3 pupil
Enlightenment Education are currently recruiting for an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil at a Derby primary school.
The pupil is currently presenting with some challenging and behavioural needs , and the school is looking for a confident, calm and resilient member of staff who can provide consistent 1:1 support.
The school would ideally like someone who has Positive Handling training , such as Team Teach or another recognised positive handling/physical intervention qualification. Relevant experience of supporting children with challenging behaviour will also be considered.
The role:
- Full-time 1:1 support
- Supporting a Year 3 pupil
- Managing and responding appropriately to challenging behaviour
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team
- Supporting the pupil's engagement and access to learning
Please note: Although this is a full-time position , the pupil is currently attending school on a reduced/part-time timetable , which may change as their needs and attendance develop.
We are looking for someone who:
? Has experience working with children with SEND and/or challenging behaviour
? Has Positive Handling training such as Team Teach, or is willing to complete relevant training
? Is calm, consistent and confident
? Can build positive relationships with children
? Has 2 years of satisfactory references
? Holds an Enhanced DBS or is willing to apply for one
