Enlightenment Education is looking for a dedicated and resilient Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant to work within primary, secondary schools and SEND across Derby.

This is an incredibly rewarding role supporting pupils who require additional behavioural, emotional and social support to help them access education successfully.

The Role As a Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH, ADHD, Autism and challenging behaviour.

Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and confidence.

Support pupils to regulate their emotions and develop positive behaviour strategies.

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to implement behaviour support plans.

Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Encourage independence, resilience and personal development.

Who: Has experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs, SEMH or SEND.

Is calm, patient and able to remain professional in challenging situations.

Can build strong relationships and act as a positive role model.

Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Is reliable, enthusiastic and passionate about helping children succeed.

Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one).
