Contract: Temporary / Long-term

We are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a Year 3 pupil at a welcoming primary school in Derby (easy location by car or 1 bus from Derby City Centre). The successful candidate will support the pupil with their learning throughout the school day, delivering targeted lessons and interventions as directed by the class teacher. All work will be planned and set by the teacher; however, the role does require someone with a good understanding of the primary curriculum and the confidence to deliver learning activities effectively on a 1:1 basis.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working within a primary school setting
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of the primary curriculum
  • Be confident delivering lessons and interventions on a 1:1 basis
  • Be patient, supportive, and adaptable to individual learning needs
  • Have experience supporting pupils who require additional support (desirable)
