The predicted salary is between 23000 - 27000 £ per year.

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join our school team. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting students to achieve their full potential, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

You will work closely with senior leadership, teaching staff, and pastoral teams to implement behaviour strategies, manage incidents, and support students with behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the implementation of the school's behaviour policy and procedures
  • Support staff in managing student behaviour effectively in and out of the classroom
  • Monitor and track behaviour data, identifying trends and putting interventions in place
  • Respond to incidents of poor behaviour and ensure appropriate sanctions are applied
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural challenges
  • Work with pastoral teams, SENCO, and external agencies to support vulnerable students
  • Supervise students in isolation or inclusion rooms where required
  • Promote positive behaviour and a strong culture of respect across the school
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding behavioural concerns
  • Contribute to staff training on behaviour management strategies
Requirements & Experience
  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding practices
  • Calm, professional, and resilient approach to challenging situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Good organisational and record-keeping skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in a pastoral or behaviour-focused role
  • Knowledge of SEND and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
  • Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or behaviour support
