Key Responsibilities: * Assist in delivering high-quality support to students with special educational needs (SEN) across the curriculum. * Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalized learning plans for students. * Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to engage fully in lessons and activities. * Adapt and modify learning resources to meet the individual needs of students. * Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioral development, ensuring their well-being. * Help manage classroom behavior and encourage positive learning behaviors. * Monitor and track student progress, reporting feedback to the class teacher and SENCO. * Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding student progress. * Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment. Key Requirements: * Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable. * Compassionate, patient, and nurturing attitude with a genuine desire to help students succeed. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to adapt to a range of individual needs and learning styles. * Understanding of child development and special educational needs is an advantage. * A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is preferred but not essential. * A current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
