Are You a Recruitment Leader Who Wants to Run a Business Like It's Your Own?
We're looking for a doer, not a talker. A biller, not just a manager. A leader who wants to win.
Enlighten Supply Pool is an established education recruitment business looking for an ambitious,
commercially driven and hands-on Head of Recruitment / Billing Branch Manager to lead our next phase of growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruitment professional who wants more than just another management position.
Perhaps you're already a successful Branch Manager, Billing Manager or Senior Recruitment Consultant who has consistently delivered results but feels restricted by corporate structures, endless meetings or a lack of genuine autonomy.
Perhaps you've always wanted to run your own recruitment business but haven't wanted the financial risk of starting from scratch.
This could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
We're offering the right person the chance to take ownership of an established recruitment operation, introduce their own ideas, build a high-performing team and share in the financial success they help create.
You'll have the freedom to put your own stamp on the business, supported by an established company, existing client relationships and an experienced Managing Director.
However, there's one non-negotiable:
You must be a biller.
We're not looking for someone who simply manages other people. We want someone who leads from the front, picks up the phone, wins business, makes placements and inspires others to do the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own recruitment desk and consistently generate personal billings.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive business development.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, academies, multi-academy trusts and education providers.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, recruitment fees and charge rates.
- Develop existing client accounts and maximise revenue opportunities.
- Lead by example through client visits, sales calls, candidate placements and successful negotiations.
- Achieve and exceed agreed personal billing targets.
2. Branch Leadership & Team Performance
- Take ownership of the recruitment team's day-to-day performance.
- Lead, motivate, coach and develop recruitment consultants.
- Establish a culture of accountability, ambition, teamwork and high performance.
- Set realistic but challenging KPIs and revenue targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide practical support to improve results.
- Recruit, train and develop additional consultants as the business expands.
- Create an environment where success is celebrated and everyone is motivated to achieve more.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow revenue, gross profit and market share.
- Identify new sectors, territories and commercial opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers.
- Monitor financial performance, recruitment pipelines and branch profitability.
- Improve operational processes and productivity.
- Work closely with the Managing Director to shape the future direction of the business.
- Take responsibility for turning commercial opportunities into measurable results.
4. Operational Management
- Oversee the daily recruitment operation and ensure consistently high standards.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and reporting.
- Ensure recruitment activity meets relevant compliance, safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
- Support consultants with complex negotiations, client issues and recruitment challenges.
- Take ownership of problems and implement practical solutions.
- Maintain a professional, positive and results-focused office environment.
Who We're Looking For
- Proven experience within the recruitment industry.
- A strong and demonstrable track record of personal billing success.
- Previous experience as a Branch Manager, Billing Manager, Team Leader or successful Senior Recruitment Consultant ready for progression.
- Excellent business development and client acquisition skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or managing recruitment consultants, or demonstrable leadership potential.
- Confidence in taking responsibility for revenue generation and team performance.
- A proactive, hands‑on approach to recruitment.
- The ability to work independently, make decisions and deliver results.
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience within education recruitment.
- Established relationships with schools, academy trusts or education providers.
- Experience developing or growing a recruitment branch.
- Understanding of temporary recruitment, candidate compliance and safeguarding requirements.
- Experience managing branch budgets, gross profit and commercial performance.
