An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Defendant Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join the Healthcare team of a leading international law firm in Birmingham. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-value clinical negligence claims, acting primarily on behalf of private insurers.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of defendant clinical negligence matters from inception through to resolution, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients throughout the litigation process.
- You will advise on liability and case strategy.
- You will draft pleadings and witness statements.
- You will review medical evidence.
- You will liaise with medical experts and negotiate settlements.
- You will work alongside experienced colleagues on complex claims.
- You will contribute to client relationship management and support business development initiatives.
The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from Newly Qualified Solicitors through to experienced Solicitors with a background in defendant clinical negligence.
- For NQ Solicitors, specialist clinical negligence experience gained during a training contract or previous role is essential.
- Candidates should have experience of complex clinical negligence matters, with at least one year's PQE preferred for qualified solicitors.
- You will possess strong technical and analytical skills, excellent drafting and negotiation abilities, and the confidence to manage a demanding caseload while maintaining high standards of client service.
